We may have been advised: “Don’t rock the boat. Don’t make waves/” I confess; I have internalized that for far too long. I have stayed in my comfort zone because…it’s safe…it’s calm…it’s easy…it’s known. It doesn’t rock the boat. But it’s time that I begin to rock my boat…dip my toe into the water…take some baby steps. I openly admit that it’s kind of scary, but I hope this will stimulate an open conversation about how we have rocked our boats, what we’ve learned, and how we can support each other to rock a little more.
